Hello, my dear AIESEC in Kyiv!
Now I do feel that AIESEC is really dear for me!
We just came back from Poland and the first thing we have done – wrote you a msg on voice. While being in Poland we thought about Ukraine a lot, about @ in Kiev, what we have, what we don’t have in @Kyiv comparing to other countries.
It so much has to be done in our LC, in the whole Ukraine!
So.....how did our journey started.....?
We came to Lviv on 18th, so that we had the whole day to wander around this great city.
Our journey started with some adventures from very beginning:
I contrived to lock my suitcase with the lock and didn’t have a keys for that lock, so then all the delegates were the witnesses how one Polish professional cut my lock – that was very funny:)
On 19th we managed to come to the meeting place in the centre of Warsaw and that was not without losses – in the polish tram Dima was robed and now he is without his mobile;((((
Anyway, we still were in a good mood, eager to meet so many nice ppl!
When we got to our hotel we met there the other part of Ukrainian delegation: Inna (MC VPFinance), Christina (LC Lviv) and Oksana (Alumni LC Lviv). We were really organized registered and went to our rooms.
There the first plenary, the first meeting all together around 60 ppl from 16 different countries!!!!
The chair was Jaro from CHech Republic– he really rocked the house!:)
We had great Facis and OC was very helpful. The conference was highly organized. OC gets mark 5+!
About the content of the conference:
- microfinance, micro credit – very interesting, the information was based a bit more on the very poor countries like in Africa. This training was very motivating and made us to thought a bit more wider: you can invest 50 $ in the poor family and help them to survive or you can just spend it on the jeans...
- budgeting from PwC – the info was really good prepared but we didnt have any workshops
- Project planning - that was kind of relaxing and funny in my group
- Ratio analysis – I liked that pretty much, understood that I still have to learn a lot. By the way, who knows what Balanced Scorecard- is? Some LCs have already it implemented or in the process of doing it....
- A glossary of finance – that was kind of very creative work in my group:)
- Business plan by Danon really rocked the house!!! That was great, really professional presentator!
- And other........
I think most of delegates will agree with me, that not the content was here the best, the best was the ppl we met there!!!!! There were members, VPs, LCPs, MCs, interns, trainers. The majority were VPs Finance and LCPs.
Invest Yourself was not typical @cers conference. It was the first Learning Network Conference!
The agenda was not so in a rush like we usually have, we had big breaks, the party (OH, PARTY!!!!) started at 22:00, we had good food:). So we had time to speak with everyone, to get to know each other better, to discover new things about different countries, to make friends!
So, yes Party time – that was great! My bow once more to OC – the parties were really great, they even managed to raise DRINKING PARTNER – so, that we had FREE Alcohol!!!
Global Village – without any comments, you know how cool it is to meet 16 different tables with some delicious things to eat and to drink:)!

On the closing plenary Ukraine delegation stands out again! While shouting the shout we jumped so strongly that equipment of the plenary (flip-chart board and the screen) fell down. OOUPS:))
Nobody wanted to leave.................
In the same time we were eager so much to share with you our feelings.
I still feel that some part of me is with those ppl.....I really hope to meet them again:)

I think u'll like this story;)
One day while walking down the street a highly successful HR Director was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St Peter himself.- "Welcome to Heaven", said St Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Director make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."- "No problem, just let me in", said the woman.- "Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in."- "Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman.- "Sorry, I have my orders.....".And with that St Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell. The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow executives that she had worked with and they were all dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner. She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved good-bye as she got on the elevator. The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St Peter waiting for her.- "Now it's time to spend a day in heaven", he said.So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had a great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St Peter came and got her.- "So, you've spent a day in Hell and you've spent a day in Heaven. Now you must choose your eternity", he said. The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."So St Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell. When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her.- "I don't understand", stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."The Devil looked at her and smiled.- "Yesterday we were recruiting you, today you're staff....."
